    Tony Aspler tastes

Thanks to Tony Aspler for posting new Versado tasting notes at tonyaspler.com. Cheers!

    Versado Malbec 2017 (Mendoza, Argentina)
Dense purple-ruby in colour; lightly cedary, spicy, mulberry nose; full-bodied, dry, savoury, richly-extracted black fruit flavours carried on tangy acidity; firmly structured with ripe tannins. Great length. Will cellar well. (90–91)

    Versado Old Vines Malbec 2015
Vines planted in 1920 in the Cobos Estate Vineyard, Lujan de Cuyo. Opaque purple in colour; intense and complex nose of leather, spice, licorice and black plum with well-integrated oak; full-bodied, dry, ripe blackcurrant and blackberry flavours beautifully balanced with lively acidity; lovely mouth-feel. (93)
